Notes:
- Educated at Julliard.
- Conducted at age 20.
- First worked on radio with Orsen Welles, scoring "War of
the Worlds".
- He also worked with Welles on Citizen Kane.
- He also scored nine films for Alfred Hitchcock, including
Psycho.
- He scored music for the TV shows "Gunsmoke" and
"The Twilight Zone"
- He won an Academy Award his first year scoring films (Devil
and Daniel Webster).
