Notes:
- Full name is John Towner Williams
- Probably the greatest film composer to ever live, his
filmography reads like a highlight film.
- His trademark is creating memorable themes that every one is
humming after the movie.
- Aside from composing all those unforgettable scores, he also
conducts the Boston Pops.
- He was educated at UCLA and Julliard, starting out as a
concert pianist.
- He has worked with such composers as Bernard Herrmann, Alfred
Newman, and Franz Waxman.
- He has composed for all but one of Steven Spielberg's feature
films.
- He has also scored the logos for Dreamworks and Amblin
Entertainment.
- He has also written music for the Olympics and NBC's
"Mission" theme.
- He wrote the music to the TV shows "Gilligan's
Island" and "Lost In Space"
- His soundtrack to Star Wars was the best selling classical
album in history, until Titanic was released.
- He has won five Academy Awards and three Golden Globes.
- He has also won two Emmy Awards, and 15 Grammy Awards.
